About the Role:

As an External Relations Trainee, you’ll be part of a supportive and inspiring team working to enhance Vaasa’s regional attractiveness and retention. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while developing your professional skills in a multilingual environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and coordinating visits from distinguished guests and ambassadors.
- Write engaging articles for the city’s website covering official visits and events.
- Conduct desk research to support presentations and strategic communications.
- Contribute to the design and visualization of PowerPoint presentations.
- Help update the International Vaasa and Welcome Office websites.
- Organize and participate in events welcoming new international students to Vaasa.
- Help with content searching and writing texts for the Welcome Office Newsletter.
- Support the Welcome Office in advising and guiding newcomers.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the integration and retention of international talents and immigrants in Vaasa.

What We’re Looking For
- Initiative, creativity, and precision
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Strong skills in English
- Proficiency in Finnish and/or Swedish is a plus
- Experience in web content management is an advantage

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone enthusiastic, curious, diligent and eager to learn.

Internship Details:
- Duration: 6 months (start date to be agreed)
- Working hours: Flexible - choose between part-time (29 hrs/week), 80% or full-time (36.25 hrs/week)
- Salary: 1487,55€/month (adjusted based on working hours)
