The Lahti Symphony Orchestra invites applications for the position of Viola Player

The salary, including the individual pay component and recording supplement is 2637-2848 € per month. Work starts at January 7th, 2020.

Audition repertoire
Please choose one of the following:
o F. A. Hoffmeister: Viola Concerto D Major, 1st and 2nd mvt with cadenzas or
o Stamitz: Viola Concerto in D, 1st and 2nd mvt with cadenzas.
Please choose one of the following:
o Bartok: Viola Concerto, 1st mvt or
o Hindemith: Der Schwanendreher or
o Walton: Viola Concerto, 1st mvt.
An invitation to the audition together with orchestral excerpts will be sent by email to selected candidates on Thursday October 3rd, 2019 (during that day).

Auditions at October 19th-20th, 2019
- The orchestra will choose the participants to the audition based on the information in the
- The Auditions will be held in the Kalevi Aho Hall of the Lahti Music Institute (Hämeenkatu 4, Lahti) on Saturday October 19th, 2019 from 11 a.m. onwards and cont´d possibly Sunday
October 20th if needed.

o work details / repertoire you chose to play and
o please inform whether you wish to use accompanist provided by the orchestra.

The selected person must present an acceptable medical certificate before signing the employment contract, and a trial period (6 months) is assigned to the selected person. The city of Lahti is a smoke-free working place.
