Through the Trainee programme, you can complete your university internship and get a good start to your career.

    The Trainee Programme runs from 17 August to 18 December 2026. You will be paid for your traineeship. A University internship voucher is an advantage. We use a hybrid working model that allows flexible remote and on‑site work in many roles. The International Trainee Programme is targeted at international students or recent international graduates from Finnish universities.

    The International Trainee Programme is carried out in English. There will also be joint meetings together with the Finnish-language Trainee Programme and you will be part of Finnish-speaking workplace community. You can use English in your daily work, while also having opportunities to practice your Finnish.

    A Finnish discussion club is available for International Trainees to improve their Finnish during the traineeship.

    Tampere Filharmonia - Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra − is a high-level symphony orchestra and part of the Culture Service Group of the City of Tampere. The home of the Tampere Philharmonic is Tampere Hall, where it performs symphony and chamber music concerts, opera, ballet, film and rock music, and concerts for children.

    The orchestra collaborates extensively with various cultural partners and runs a diverse music education program for children from all grade levels.

    The field of music is international. Accordingly, Tampere Filharmonia is the most multicultural unit within the city organization with its 106 employees representing more than 20 different nationalities. In addition to Finnish, English is used as a working language.

    As an international trainee at the Tampere Filharmonia, you will take part in communication tasks in orchestra’s brand and concert marketing. There are two marketing communications specialists in the orchestra, and communications are carried out in both Finnish and English.

    Key responsibilities include producing marketing materials − especially images and videos − for various media channels. The role also involves customer marketing and other duties at the orchestra’s various events, organizing ticket sales, and maintaining and developing the website. Concerts are typically held in the evenings.

    The traineeship may also include a small assignment carried out in collaboration with the “Kaikkien Tampere” development program, focusing on improving services for the international community in Tampere.

    As an international trainee, you should have developing proficiency in Finnish. We are looking for strong collaboration skills, flexibility and an independent working approach from the trainee.

    For this position we require that you have completed at least three years of higher education studies in a relevant field. The position also requires excellent English skills (written and spoken).

    It will be beneficial if you have experience in:
    -Video planning, filming, and editing, as well as photography and image processing
    -Marketing communications and proficiency with relevant tools

    The salary in this position is 2259,28 €/month.
