Principal I Violin agreed to work until further notice at Pori Sinfonietta (Pori City Orchestra).

Audition: Friday, 23th of January 2026 starting at 11 am at Promenade Center (Yrjönkatu 17, Pori, Finland)

Audition repertoire
1. W.A. Mozart: Violin Concerto no. 4 D major OR no. 5 A major, 1st movement with cadenza
2. 1st movement with cadenza from one of the following concertos: Beethoven, Brahms, Mendelsohn, Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Bruch, Bartok OR Nielsen. The work must be mentioned in the application.
3. Orchestral and chamber music repertoire that will be sent by email after the closing date for applications.

The applicant must inform whether wanting the audition repertoire to be sent by mail.

Please mention in your application if you are also applying for the position of I Violin tutti (job code PORI-18-33-25) and fill out a separate application for that. There is no need to send certificates twice.

Applications should include personal details and contact information, a list of education and work experience and a mention if applicant needs accompanist arranged by Pori Sinfonietta.

The audition includes a possible job interview.
We expect good communication and teamwork skills from the applicant.

The employment relationship will be filled from the beginning of February 2026 or according to the agreement.

Salary in accordance with the Municipal Musicians' Collective Agreement.
In addition, recording compensation is paid according to the current local agreement.
Costume and instrument compensation are paid according to the valid collective agreement.

The city has a sports, cultural and welfare benefit and a personal allowance system.
