During your traineeship, you will make important contacts for your future and learn about the city as an employer. Through the Trainee Programme, you can complete your university internship and get a good start to your career.
The Trainee programme runs from 17 August to 18 December 2026. You will be paid for your traineeship. A University internship voucher is an advantage. We use a hybrid working model that allows flexible remote and on‑site work in many roles. The International Trainee Programme is targeted at international students or recent international graduates from Finnish universities.
The International Trainee programme is carried out in English. There will also be joint meetings together with the Finnish-language Trainee programme and you will be part of Finnish-speaking workplace community. You can use English in your daily work, while also having opportunities to practice your Finnish.
A Finnish discussion club is available for International Trainees to improve their Finnish during the traineeship.

The trainee supports the operational management of Platform6 startup-house, including contract administration, communication with tenants and partners, updating and maintaining rental agreements, reporting on occupancy, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities also include maintaining internal communication channels and coordinating collaboration within the Startup.Tampere community.
The trainee contributes to Startup.Tampere’s marketing by updating and maintaining website content, creating social media posts for Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Spotify, and managing the event calendar. Tasks include monitoring mentions, engaging with audiences, highlighting services, events and success stories, and producing content templates in Canva.
The role includes cooperation with Tredu, Tampere Vocational College, through student onboarding and material review, as well as producing podcast transcripts and promoting episodes across platforms such as Spotify, YouTube and Tamperetyönhakijoille.fi.
The trainee assists in event coordination through partner communication, registration handling and maintaining CRM data to support smooth execution and follow-up of activities.
You should have excellent English skills (written and spoken) and solid interaction, communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of Finnish is considered an advantage.
We require you to have degree in a relevant field (e.g. Public Administration, Social Sciences, Humanities), completed within the last two years or currently in the final stages of studies.
It will be beneficial if you have
- experience in international customer services or internal service work (eg. administrative), marketing, communications or event management,
- use of AI and data tools (e.g. MS Copilot, Power BI),
- strong command of core MS Office applications,
- digital marketing skills including social media, website content and analytics
The salary consists of a position-specific salary of 2259,28€ / month.
